Hobbit Homes

Our house is very big for just one person, 2 little dogs and one fat cat.  We have lots of bedrooms and 3 bathrooms! Linda is all about downsizing and getting a smaller house.  Right now, we basically live in her small bedroom and a tiny den (about 12' x 10').  Linda is all about finding a TH that has less square feet. Most of the ones she is looking at are 1/2 as much total space as she has now.  If she is basically living in such a small area of our house anyway, it should be no problem adapting.  The new trend in housing are little mico-homes.  People are downsizing to homes that are under 130 sq. ft.  A Colorado couple recently built a 129 sq. ft home.  It has a toilet, a stove, a faucet, outlets, even a sink with running water.  It is fueled by solar power and propane. How big is 129 sq. ft.?  About 9'x14'!!  Google "tiny homes" and look at all the cool designs.  It's actually getting Linda kind of excited!  She would be forced to finally realize her goal of only owning 100 things!  Maybe less in a home that size. 

OK.  Maybe this one is a little bigger than 129 sq. ft.
