Moose 1... Tierney 0 |
Tierney was inspired by a recent teaching their Pastor did at church. She must have been paying attention to the message. Linda totally tuned it out since she remembers none of it. Basically, the teaching was about who does what jobs and chores at home. If the walls need painting or something needs to be fixed, the women is totally capable of doing it. Tier said that from now on, she was going to start doing "man" type jobs around her house that involves tools, measuring and moving heavy things. Since neither Linda or Tier have a live-in man to do those jobs, they are always relying on friends to come over and help. No more....All by herself, Tierney attempted to hang this 50 pound moose head up on the wall in her dining room. (Don't ask. Only Tierney would fall in love with a snow white moose head and buy it from an expensive art gallery.) After hours of trying unsuccessfully and tearing big chunks of drywall out of her newly painted dining room, she gave up. The moose head won and is still on the floor. Fortunately, nice Mr. K. saw her post on FB and offered to come over and hang it for her. Today, Linda decided to tackle something that she has been putting off because it was a "mans" job. She totally dismantled the bed in Tierney's old bedroom. Why is that so hard? Because the metal railing were so lodged in the wood frame from 25 years of not being moved, that it required much sledgehammer banging to try and loosen them. Eventually she had to use the sledgehammer to break the wood because the metal wouldn't budge. Success! Then she carried it all outside to the trash by herself (almost breaking the glass storm door. An angel must have put their finger on it to hold it open a fraction of a second longer!) Linda does not want her guy friends to feel left out or not needed, so she'll probably still be asking for help once in awhile. (Especially rewiring the cable TV stuff so she can move her den into the other room. Hint..Hint....)
