Frozen Credit

Um, Lady... that is going to take awhile
It snowed last night, but just a dusting.  The real problem is the icy crust over top of everything.  This morning while it was still dark, Chim and I had to go outside.  I stayed on-task, did my business quick and was at the sliding glass door in minutes.  Linda waited a bit longer for Chim to show up.  And she waited...waited...waited.  No Chimmie. (I love how spell check wants to change Chimmie into Chummy!) She cracked the door and did the "cookie" call, still no Chim.  Finally she stepped out on the part of the deck that is protected from snow and saw him stuck 1/2 way up the stairs!  Poor little guy was slipping so bad he couldn't get enough traction to make it all the way up.  She quickly ran for her boots and went down in her robe to rescue him.  He was shaking so bad, probably more from fear than cold.  Not only is he on her lap right now, he is underneath the snuggie pressed right up against her body.  He's trying to glue himself to her so she won't put him back outside. Thank goodness we have that bright flood light on our deck now.  She might have slipped in the dark trying to save him.  At least she could see and try to be extra careful.  Maybe by the time we go out again (is Jerry coming??) it will be melted.  One of her gyms canceled all classes for today, the other gym is business as usual.  Linda read on  FB that a friend of Tier's rolled his truck last night on the ice.  I hope it's safe because Linda leaves for her WIM/TKD in just a little while.  She's kicking herself she did not buy an ice scraper.  Hers broke last year and she kept meaning to replace it but forgot.  She'll have to use one of her credit cards again to scrape the ice.  (Once she saw a show about getting out of debt that said you should put your credit cards in a plastic container full of water and put them in the freezer.  This way they will be one giant ice cube and be harder to use for spur of the moment purchases, but be there for emergencies.)
