A sunset pic taken by Linda's friend Tony. |
What a beautiful sunrise this morning. Getting up before dawn has it's pluses. One, you can have some quite time undisturbed. Secondly, the sunrises are usually so wonderful. It always reminds Linda of God's glory. Plus there is always so much time before work to get chores, reading, studying and walking dogs done before Linda has to leave. On the negative side, Linda takes about 10 minutes before she is totally functional. The getting right out of bed when the alarm chirps isn't hard, but anything she does in the first 10 minutes goes wrong. The coffee pot usually is her biggest challenge. She's made coffee plenty of times without putting the coffee in the basket, she's not plugged the maker into the wall, she's waited and waited for it to finish brewing only to discover there wasn't any water in the tank. Half the time she confuses the cat food and dog food (I don't mind that though, cat food is yummy!) Today, she sliced her thumb pretty deep trying to get her new aqua watch out of the plastic holder. For some reason she forgot that she should not touch a knife until she's been awake for at least 15 minutes, especially trying to cut a little piece of plastic with a steak knife. She can't find band-aids, so it's wrapped in a paper towel while she types. Years ago she was a personal trainer at the gym. Her first client was 5:00 a.m. She would sleep in sweats, set her alarm for 4:40 a.m., brush her teeth and hair then and be at the gym by 4:55 to greet her client. Once she was actually sitting at a stoplight 1 mile from our house and realized she had no recollection of actually driving there. The worst was when one of the people she trained overslept and she would have to wait around at the gym for an hour until her 6:00 a.m. showed up.
