Breath of Life

She kind of looks like a Chorkie...
Linda is not usually a worry-wort.  It's such a waste of time to worry about what might happen, or could possibly happen.  She goes to bed every night without any worries, and wakes up full of peace.  (Sometimes she wakes up a wee-bit cranky if Chip is howling her head off, but it goes away quickly.)  Every once in a great while, she'll worry about us being home alone.  A firetruck will go racing by her car and she'll have a flash of "what if my house is on fire?" feeling.  If there was a fire when she was gone, we would all probably be goners.  Firefighters in Florida were able to resuscitate a little dog after a fire broke out at his mobile home on Friday.  Flames and smoke were pouring out of the house and firefighters broke down the door.  There were three unresponsive dogs in a back bedroom.  Firefighters carried them out and hooked them up to special oxygen masks made for dogs.  Two of the pups did not make it, but this little guy pulled through!  The masks were donated to the fire department.  Linda wants to find out if our rescue squads have the pet masks.  If not, wouldn't that be a great fund raiser?  Maybe she could organize a 5K Mutt Strut for dogs and their owners??
