No joke, this morning was probably the coldest walk we had in years! Linda took a break from laundry and studying to take us outside. She made us wear our winter coats and she wore 2 shirts, a hoodie, a ski coat, gloves and a scarf. After about 4 houses, her toes and fingers felt frozen. We persevered and did our usual circuit, but 30 minutes after we got home her toes still were not defrosted. What? It was almost sweater weather yesterday. After checking online, she discovered that with the wind chill, it's only 14 degrees. No wonder we were icicles! Every time we walk in the cold, Chimmie has to immediately eat. It doesn't matter how much breakfast he had, the cold weather drives him to chow down. I think it's because his body fat is 1%. Mine is probably a hefty 10%, so I'm never as cold. Plus, I have a massive fur coat right now that really helps insulate me.
