Soooo Tired
Tuesday night is when Linda comes home and crashes. Not crashes her car, but her body crashes. The last two Tuesdays, she added another Combat practice to her day too. When she is teaching, her body is on overdrive and she does not even feel how hard she is pushing herself. It's like the adrenaline covers the tiredness. When she is on stage and 50 eyeballs are fixated on her, tired is not an option. A swollen knee or a pinch in her back can't slow her down. At 8:00 p.m., when she is sitting alone in the driveway after driving home, all the tiredness sweeps over her like a tidal wave. She feels like the 12 steps to her front door are insurmountable. Even eating is a chore, but she has to refuel even if it's just a protein bar. It would be wonderful if Chim and I could have a hot bath waiting for her; some food ready and be able to massage her achy muscles. If she ever gets married, I hope her husband will be her Tuesday night lifter-upper.
