Rescue Operation

Here Kitty.... Kitty...
Every once in awhile, Linda reads the perfect Choopie's blog news story.   No humans can be seriously hurt or killed, no animals can be harmed and it must be wacky.  It helps if Linda can somehow relate it to her life too.  This story is perfect.  Dozens of people in Texas called 911 about a lone tiger perched on the roof of an abandoned hotel.  Maybe the tiger escaped from a zoo or an wild animal park?  This has happened lots of times before, so firefighters responded immediately. As they got closer, they discovered it was a life-size stuffed toy!  One of the firemen pretended to play like he was attacked and wrestled with the tiger to the delight of the crowd gathered below.  I know pranks like these could cost lives if there was a serious accident or fire somewhere else, but it all ended OK and the usually stressed firefighters had a good laugh. Why does this story relate to Linda? Years ago when Taylor was still a toddler, she worked at a health club in a fancy hotel.  Every morning for the first few classes she would marvel at the owl perched on the roof. Wow!  It was big and beautiful and gave her shivers just to look at.  It never occurred to her that it was in the same exact spot for several mornings.  One day she mentioned it to the front desk attendant and he about fell off his chair laughing.  It was a stuffed owl used to scare rodents and small birds from the roof.  Oh.

The Owl looked much more realistic than this one.
