Wasn't Me!

I know you are all sick of snow posts, so here is something different. A man in a South Kitsap (gotta love that town name) Walmart decided to play a practical joke that stunk. He dumped liquid "stink bombs" and sprayed "Super Fart Spray" inside the store. The odor was so putrid that 911 was called and fire and rescue crews were dispatched to the store. Everyone was evacuated while the store was cleaned up and aired out. The man was caught and admitted to the obnoxious stunt. He said he was bored.

If you can't tell by now, I am also very bored and will post just about anything.

Change Minesoda to Virginda

Ohhh, I'm glad I'm not this Chihuahua. I've been out on our front step a few times during this weather, but I won't step off into the snow. I do not like it one bit. I found this story for Linda so she will be more careful while she is shoveling. Police in our county said that thieves are targeting homes where a lone women is out front shoveling her driveway and front walk. The crooks are entering through back or side doors that are unlocked and stealing credit cards, cash and jewlery while the women shoveled out front. This has happened during the last two storms. In both cases, the suspect is described as a black man in his 20s who is about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. (The wind is blowing so hard right now that most of the snow on our giant pine tree has been knocked off! I guess there is an upside to everything.)

Sigh

We woke up to a blizzard. It is snowing so hard you can't really see the street. The newsman said our main road is impassable and treacherous. What Linda shoveled last night was about 1/5 of the new snow that came down while we slept. During the night, Linda heard a couple of big cracks. She thought it was our big tree, but it is still standing. Let's pray it is not our deck getting ready to crash down. Thank God we still have heat and electricity. I really want to do a snow carry-walk, but the wind is so hard that I won't be able to stick my head out of the coat. In a few minutes, Linda is going out to shovel again just to try and stay on top of things. If the winds die down, she said we'll go for a walk after she is done. Too bad Linda does not have this sleeping bag. It would be so warm and cozy to cuddle in when she is done.

Ding Ding... Round 2

Round two of the snow has started. It looks like we will get a lot less, between 10-20 inches. The real problem is going to be strong winds that will cause crazy drifts. Linda has already had all her classes canceled for tomorrow. One of her gyms is closing because the roof has too much snow and they are afraid it will collapse. There is a very high chance the winds will cause our power to go out. We bought some food that does not need cooking and an extra big candle today. Hopefully, our house will stay warm and no trees will fall on it. It sure has been wonderful having her home so much. Even Chip has been cheerier. At least this isn't our car. If this was done as a practical joke I doubt the person was laughing. UPDATE: Linda went out at 9:20 pm for a quick round of shoveling. The same crazy bobcat plowing man was out there in front of her house AGAIN. What is he doing? There are hundreds of other streets in our neighborhood to plow and he spends 6 hours today in front of our house, 3 different times!!! She ran out to guard her driveway and while she was there, she shoveled the the 4 inches that already fell so far.

Almost V Day

Here are some Chihuahua's celebrating Valentine's Day a little early. Linda will be posting my very own VD photo, but she is waiting until the 14th. Check out the ears on the pooch on the far left? All this time I thought I had huge ears, but this guy... he looks like he has wings coming out of his head. Next, look at the eyes on the middle Chi with the heart around her neck. It looks like someone just goosed her on the butt!

Breath!

Linda has been very cheerful shoveling and dealing with the snow... until this morning. She has been having fun keeping the driveway and walks free of snow. It is hard work but great exercise. That all changed this morning. She woke up to find that the snow plow had taken all the snow from the court across the street and piled it in front of her driveway! There was a huge wall of ice crusted, packed, snow! She actually cried. I tried to kiss her and cheer her up, but she was fuming mad. The snow was so hard she could not get the shovel into the top layer to even start shoveling. She cried some more. After calming down, she hacked and chipped her way though it and finally was able to move enough to squeeze her car out of the driveway. As soon as she hears that plow truck coming down the road, she is running outside and giving him a good scolding! UPDATE: The two guys did come back through around noon. One was riding this little Bob Cat tractor, the other had a regular bulldozer. They were smashing into curbs, signs and narrowly missed Linda's brand new mailbox. She ran out and stood at the end of the driveway. Instead of dumping the snow in our driveway, they dumped it in the guys across the street. He came out yelling and screaming at the men. They just ignored him and kept filling it up more.

What?

Another poll that favors pets over men. An overwhelming 78% of women would rather have a pet then a husband. In another poll by Sealy, the mattress maker, 67% of people would rater sleep with their pet then their partners. In the same study, 55% of women said their partner was far more annoying then their pet. Linda is very concerned about this trend. I know she loves me, but she would NEVER put me above her husband. For now, I do cuddle with her every night and she does spoil me a bit. That would all change if a husband was in the picture. Hopefully, she'll stay single! (Just kidding, I would love to have another pack member in the house.)
