"I bet I can get this whole thing in my mouth!" |
Except for one potty-break at 3:00 a.m because I had an emergency, all the pets let Linda sleep last night without interruption. No screaming Chip or whining Chimmie. I stayed curled up on the bed until she woke up on her own...at 8:00 a.m.! It's a good thing she didn't have a class this morning since she slept a good 2 hours later than normal. She actually needed the rest so I'm happy everyone cooperated. Chim is back in his den for the nights now. Even though he has learned to be still and quite in bed, she still wakes up every 1/2 hour because his 15 pound body is pressed up against her or laying on top of her all night. Plus he snores, whimpers and runs his giraffe- like legs while he sleeps. Noah will be here soon, so she has got to start vacuuming and scrubbing the floors. He puts everything in his mouth that he can grab with his chubby little fists, so Linda makes sure there isn't any dog toys, pencils, CD cases, shoes or anything that looks enticing within his reach. (P.S. There is one of those random private-company commuter buses parked right in front of our house just idling. I wonder if he thinks he's supposed to pick Linda up to go somewhere??)
