Soups On!
It was another freezing day. Paul Walker came to take us on the trail earlier. It was cold, but we fared much better than he did. With our fur and coats, we only got chilly at the very end. Of course Chimmie had to eat a bunch of dry food as soon as they got home. My appetite is still not very good. Jerry said I need rotisserie chicken from Wegmans, but Linda said No. I'll eat my regular chicken/Alpo mix when I'm hungry enough. For dinner tonight after her classes, Linda decided it was a soup kind of night. Canned soup is so high in sodium, so she made her own. First, she steamed a 1/2 of bag of mixed veggies and some cauliflower. Before she put 3/4 of the veggies in the food processor, she added a bunch of random seasonings and 8 oz. of water. Then she added the remaining cut up veggies saved from the puree to the pot. After heating for 15 minutes on low heat, a little soy cheese on top made it extra yummy. Now she is warm and full (almost too full!) A bath to finish warming up will be perfect and then she is off to church.
