How could she skip these adorable cookies Connie made for the shower! |
Linda got home in time to make dinner tonight. Her stomach is happy. Most nights she teaches right up until church then gets home from service or church activities after 9:00. That's too late to cook real food. Tonight the boy's basketball game was over early (they won!) She had plenty of time so she roasted asparagus and Brussels Sprouts, then pureed her favorite squash. All she gave us to eat was stinky dog food without any chicken. We only get the chopped chicken in our breakfast. Suppers are just plain mush because it gets too expensive. At Trader Joe's today she picked up quick things to eat for the late nights. Greek Yogurt; oatmeal; a tub of protein powder; some low-carb high-protein bars; eggs; and almond milk. Since the Holiday's and wedding fun are over, there are no excuses why Linda has to eat cookies, cakes and candy. Actually, she really didn't have to eat them at all, she just chose to. Now she is back on the wagon and eating healthy again. She weighed herself after the three weeks of crazy eating and she actually lost 2 pounds.
