During our wooded walks, I always worry about a hawk or owl swooping down on the trail and getting me, but Linda says not to worry. I'm too heavy (almost 6 pounds now since I have my winter chub) for them to pick up. Or so she thought. A very amazing photograph caught this shot of an eagle swooping down to catch it's dinner. Um... Linda, isn't that a deer? Don't they weigh more than 6 pounds? The fawn escaped and did not become eagle chow. The photo was taken by Milan Krausla who sat quietly for over an hour waiting for a shot of the hunting eagle. I think he was expecting to get a photo of a bunny or squirrel, not Bambi.
