It's not Dog Days of Summer, it's now Dogs Days of April! Linda actually turned the AC on Sunday night. I know, you are thinking "She broke her rules! No AC until June!" Yep, and she decided that rule wasn't going to be enforced anymore since it's been feeling like mid-June already! When we woke up Monday a.m., it was still 80 degrees in the house. By 2:00 p.m., it was hitting the 90 degree mark. There was some tepid air blowing out of the vents, but it wasn't cooling anything off. Linda went to check the outside unit and realized it wasn't working! Drats and double Drats. She checked the breaker box and thermostat and that wasn't the problem. After googling/message boards/You Tube/phone calls... it turned into an easy fix. There is a reset unit at the very bottom of the unit. You can't see it unless your laying on the ground. Sure enough, we woke up to a nice cool 70 degree house! Yay!! Her friend Tom is still going to clean the coils and check the coolant levels this afternoon just to be sure they did not trip the reset switch. Both Chim and I were miserable yesterday because it was so hot. We both wanted to lay on the cooler hard wood floor instead of snuggling Linda on the couch.
