We did the wooded walk last night, but a few factors prohibited us from finishing the whole trail. 1) Linda left at 7:00 p.m. If it's getting dusky out, the trail is twice as dark. The overhang of the trees is really beautiful, but it makes it kind of spooky in the twilight. 2) The mosquitoes were gnawing on her like she was the first food they had in months. She knows the bugs are terrible in the evening, but forgets the bug spray every single time we go out. 3) Chim and I were walking soooo slow and stopping to smell every single leaf and grass stalk. Linda kept carrying me to hurry me along and she was getting frustrated with us both. 4) It was humid and muggy walking along the stream beds. Sweat was dripping off her nose. 5) She was tired. This is Diesel. Tier puppy sat him for a week while his humans went on vacation. She could not get him to walk even 10 yards. He would plop down and roll on his back to sleep.
When we got home, she went to the local mega baby store to look at strollers, porta-cribs and high chairs to get an idea of what she wants to get for baby Leonidas (not his/her real name.) We are looking on craigslist everyday hoping to find what we want close to home, or at least be able to buy everything at one location if we have to drive far.
p.s. Baby Munks are still alive and kicking! We think they will make it! I just hope Chimmie does not get them when they decided to leave the protected nest.
