Do We Get an Animal?
Linda's vacuum finally bit the dust. The motor gave up today after 4 years of picking up dog hair, cat hair and pieces of fluff from the toys Chim has destroyed. It did it's job OK and had a long life. Now the big decision. Should Linda buy the vacuum of her dreams? Does she spend the money to get a Dyson Animal or go back to Target and get the same trusty brand she always uses for less than a quarter of the price of the Animal? She's heard from a friend that the Animal picks up pet hair, dirt and grime that she did not even know was in her carpet. Just like Linda, the lady vacuumed her whole house and her old vacuum died on the last bit of carpet. Her family got her the Dyson as a prize the next day, and she immediately re-vacuumed her house. The canister was totally full like she had not vacuumed in months! This kind of thing really gets Linda excited. Some people like giant houses, fancy cars, expensive clothes, flat screen TV's or flashy jewelry... none of those hold any appeal to her. But a top of the line, vacuum that could suck up every last dog hair? That's makes her heart beat fast. (OK, she likes watches, flip flops & jeans too.. but they don't have to be expensive, she just likes variety.)
