What a Bummer!

In the last post I said that Linda was feeling great, (she still does this morning too!) but one body part did hurt. While she was teaching her Water in Motion class, she slipped on the wet deck and landed smack on her tailbone and wrist. Her wrist is OK, but she was very concerned about her two discs in her back that already are damaged. She was able to finish teaching the class, but she does have a different kind of lower back pain today. Shes going to teach all her classes today, but not jump or go heavy on any weights to let it heal. The weird thing is that she had two warnings about slipping. In all the classes she's ever taught, she's only slipped once on the pool deck. Last night, she went in before the start of her first class at 4:00 to talk to the lifeguard about taking down the swim lanes for her. She noticed 2 cleaning people scrubbing the pool deck with some kind of soap mixture. In her head she thought that it might make it slippery after it dried and got wet again from class. Then in TKD, one of the 5-year olds told her he fell on the pool deck during his swim class earlier that day and hurt his bum. Two warnings to be careful. She should have taking heed but in the midst of the fun class, she forgot during one of the moves she landed right on her bum too!
