Exploding Watermelons (The Fruit, Not the Band)
Beware of exploding watermelons! I guess we're safe here, but not so if you live in China. Farmers watered their melons with some sort of growth chemical during the rainy season. Instead of the fat, juicy watermelons they were hoping for, the melons are exploding like land mines all over the place. I feel bad for the farmers losing their entire crops, but that must be a sight to behold as the watermelons just blow up and seeds and fruit go flying everywhere. The US allows the chemical to be used on kiwi and grapes, so next time your in the grocery store, you better steer clear of them unless you want a kiwi facial. (This photo of the exploding watermelon is actually from a facebook page of a music group called the Exploding Watermelons. Maybe you should check them out!)
