Whoa! I am SO glad that I don't live near the beaches of San Diego. 1,000's of jumbo flying squid have been roughing up the swimmers and divers along the coast line. The beasts grow up to 5-feet long and can weigh 100 pounds each. They have razor-sharp beaks and of course, long tentacles. Some of the bandits have been yanking masks and cameras away from scuba and divers. Imagine if I was romping along the surf and WHACK! A long eely arm reaches out and snatches you. I get the willies just thinking about it.
