Aqua Chimmie

The three of us are so tired that Linda said after this post, we are taking a nap. The kind in the big bed, where we actually go to sleep. For some reason, our trail walk kicked all of our tails today. After Linda's Pump class, she had to go to the bank to set up a new savings account. She was there almost an hour by the time she crossed the "t's" and dotted the "i's". After she got the account opened, she asked the guy for a free toaster or coffee maker. He looked at her like she was crazy. He was just a kid, so he wasn't around when you used to get a free kitchen appliance when you opened a new savings account. She did get 2 boxes of free checks, a pretty good interest rate and a styrofoam cup of warm water. By then it was getting close to lunch and she did not eat any breakfast. The bagel joint was calling her name, so she stopped for a bite to eat. By the time she got home, it was closing in on noon. We decided to just go out near out house, explore some of the deer trails and stay out extra long. For the first time this year, she got the carry-me front pack out. It looks like a backpack, only a little puppy goes inside (that would be me) and you get to be carried in a more comfy way facing forward. We went so long that even Chimmie was slowing down. Linda did not think carrying me in the front pack would be that much harder, but since I did not want to come out to walk, I probably rode a full hour and walked the other 30 minutes when she made me. It wore her out! We did not run into one person or animal the entire time.

p.s. I almost forgot! The big news of the outing was that Linda did not carry Chimmie when we got to the stream crossings. She wanted to see what he would do when they got close. He just waded in like he's been doing it his whole life! The only time that he noticed was the last crossing where it was up to his belly. He liked it, but he has to have a bath with the hose before he comes inside or he'll smell like stinky water.
