Last weeks weigh in for Chimmie: 11.2 pounds. Today's weigh-in (after a long walk and before dinner) 11.8 pounds. A Chihuahua's acceptable weight is 2-6 pounds, with 4 pounds being ideal. Chimmie is almost 3 times that weight. Honest, he is not the least bit chubby. He's ribs show and he has a tiny waist. We all saw his parents and litter mates. His brother was teeny-tiny. Almost as small as I was when I came to live with Linda (1.5 pounds). Chimmie weighed in that day at 4.5 pounds. Same litter, one the runt and one the alpha puppy. His coloring is just like his Dad, but he was only about 6 pounds and his Mom was 4. How in the world could this be happening? It's like someone gave him growth hormone or something. Here are a couple of his baby pictures from the first few weeks of his little life. The people we got him from gave Linda a disc with 300 photos and videos of Chim and his litter mates, but only a few of them download. We think the CD is scratched.
