It has been said that fisherman can exaggerate about the size of their catches. Linda has done a little fishing (what?) but she always made sure the fish only stayed out of the water a few seconds before releasing it back into the water. Yesterday at the picnic, lots of people were fishing in the pond. There are so many fish that you can catch one every minute or so, but Linda said they mostly were little flat ugly fishes. One of the Pastors caught a GIANT small mouth bass. It was at least 20 pounds! (not really, maybe 4-5 pounds) and it's mouth was so wide it could swallow me whole (not really, it could maybe swallow a marshmallow whole.) Regular folks aren't the only one who can exaggerate about fishes. Two popular news feeds, MSNBC and CNN each told the story about the man who caught a GIANT shark this weekend. One reported it was 900 pounds, the other 800 pounds. Either way, it was definitely bigger than the small mouth bass that Pastor caught yesterday at the picnic.
