It was so funny in Linda's first class today. There were 28 people, and 3/4 of them were wearing pink or red for VD! I told her she should have taken a photo to post on the blog. She totally didn't think about it. Tonight, she is going to get a group shot of her WIM friends and she'll post that later on. So far, VD day has been big fun! She loves to hear about friends special plans and the gifts they buy for their sweethearts. One of the woman from church bought golf clubs for her husband and wrapped them up like long stem roses! What a cute idea! As you all know, Linda does not really get into the hoopla that goes with holidays (like putting up Christmas trees, sending cards or hanging decorations) but she has been having fun with VD this year. Her favorite part is when good friends and close family do special things for each other, with no romance involved. Yesterday she received a hand-dipped chocolate strawberry from a buddy and today she got 8 carrot cupcakes! Tomorrow when VD things are 1/2 price, she is going to make little bags for Tier, Taylor and Sarah. (When the kids were little and they wanted Easter baskets, she would always wait until the next day. Why not get more for your $$!) It makes her so happy to have friends and family that she loves and that love her so much.
