When Linda's old computer crashed and died, she lost all of her bookmarks. There were at least 100, maybe more, of sites she would visit. Lots of them were blogs and news related, followed by cooking, decorating, shopping and pet sites. At first she was so bummed, but after about 5 minutes she realized how liberating it was and how much less time she spent online. Now she bookmarks only important things like Ruby Woo, WTOP (for weather and closings) and of course my blog. Yesterdays trip to Walmart for pet supplies provided some interesting people watching. There was also a women with an ear-splitting screaming kid throwing a major temper tantrum that seemed to follow her from aisle to aisle. Since Linda is a TKD instructor, she is used to kids obeying just by a look or maybe one word. If they don't obey, it's drop and give me 20 push-ups. She was seconds from disciplining the kid and the mom with 20 pushups each for being so disruptive. I guess that incident got her thinking about Walmart this morning. By accident-on-purpose she remembered the Walmart site that was bookmarked where folks armed with their iPhones post pictures of the shoppers. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT go onto this site. You will say to yourself "I'm just going to click one more page and that's it. There could be nothing worse than the 75 year old woman wearing fishnet stockings and sporting a pink afro," and then WOW... the next page shows the same outfit on a man. She made herself stop and is going to block that site from every opening in her browser again.
