Chip Cat would be eating this baby fawn, not sleeping on it |
Linda thought she would try something different this morning. Since she went to bed way early last night (before most 4th graders bed time) she set her alarm to go off extra early. It was still very dark, and very chilly when it went off. As soon as I heard the alarm chirp, I scooted under the covers to try to entice her into staying in the warm bed. Nope, she got up and forced Chimmie to go outside in the back to take care of business. After she started the coffee and made our chicken, she made me go outside too. She loved having the extra hour in the morning. It already feels like 1/2 of a day went by and she hasn't even taught her first class yet. A funny thing happened when she was falling asleep last night. There is a point when you are not sleeping, but not totally awake either. She was aware of me next to her and even heard Chim shift around a bit, but sleep was seconds away. Just when she started to drift off, she thought she saw a fawn jump through the second-story bedroom window and disappear into the closet! Linda sat right up and her pulse was pounding!! It was like some kind of drug induced hallucination, except no drugs were involved. That's happened to her once before when Tier was an infant. She saw and felt a lightening bolt come in from the window and hit Tier's bassinet. Then Tierney started talking using real words, but she was only days old.
