Take 2 Asprin and Get a Dog Immediately

There have been a lot of studies that show owning a dog has tremendous health benefits. These include lowering blood pressure; increased happiness and faster healing times. For instance, people who have had a heart attack and own a pet live longer then those who don't. That's not all: In a study of 100 Medicare patients, those who owned dogs made 21 percent fewer visits to a physician than non-dog owners. Not old yet, just 10 minutes in the presence of a dog significantly lowers your blood pressure, as lower triglyceride and cholesterol levels. Still not convinced you need a dog? Owning a dog decrease heart attack mortality rates by 3% which translates into saving more than 30,000 lives. Lastly, studies show that families who have a dog are 70% happier then those without a pet. Now, stop reading this blog and go to the animal shelter and adopt yourself a pooch (or a cat if you must) and live a longer, happier life.
