Hot Dog
Whew! It's so hot outside. Linda couldn't mow this weekend because the heat index (whatever that means) was 110 degrees. We've been staying inside where it's cool. The electricity is still flickering, I just hope it does not go out again. Taylor & Sarah had no power last night and had to sleep in a very hot house. They should have come over here and had a sleepover. Remember, dogs aren't as efficient at keeping cool as you humans are. We release our heat through panting and the pads of our feet. Be careful and don't walk us during the hottest part of the day. The sidewalks also get very hot and could burn our little paws. Give us plenty of water to drink too. Linda is getting Snickers a baby pool to splash around in. I'm excited to try swimming for the first time. A good idea would be to put a wet bandanna in the freezer then tie it around your pooches neck before his walk. The most important thing to remember is never to leave us in the car, even with the windows cracked. Linda will call the police if she sees a dog locked in a car during the summer, so beware.
