Warning: This story might make you cry, but it will also warm your heart. It makes me proud to be a dog when I read of heroic acts like this. Five young children were playing outside when 2 giant pit bulls came rushing at them, fangs bared. 11 year old Richard Rosewarneny say the dogs were charging toward his 4 year old brother, when all of a sudden, a Jack Russel terrier ran up and jumped in front of the boy. He fought off the two big dogs, but alas, the brave dog suffered fatal wounds while protecting the kids. He didn't stand a chance, but that did not stop him from sacrificing his own life to protect the kids. The pit bulls were later caught, bloody and torn up, and are now awaiting their sentence in a dog pound. The Jack Russel's 69 year old owner Alan Gay was proud of his dog George and wants the owner of the pit bulls fined for letting them run loose.
