Here are two kids who probably should be told the truth |
A New York second-grade teacher will probably be getting coal in her stocking and might possibly be losing her job if parents get their way. During a geography lesson, a child told the teacher they knew where the North Pole was because Santa Claus lives there. Teachers should tell the truth, and not lie to kids... especially about geography, right? The honest teacher told the 7 and 8 year olds that Santa isn't real and their parents put the presents under the tree. I won't go into detail describing the outrage that the angry parents directed at the teacher except to say one "wants her roasted like a chestnut over an open fire" and another complained "she stripped a child of their innocence." Linda says "Way to go teacher!" Linda told the truth about Santa from the time Tier and Taylor were babies. Santa was the same as the characters who dress up at Disney, or Ronald McDonald. It's a person in a suit playing a part. Taylor and Tierney had amazing Christmas mornings and never once suffered for knowing the truth about Santa. When Tier was 5-years old, she did tell a Santa at the mall he was going to hell for lying to the children and not believing in Jesus. I wonder if the Santa remembers it almost 20 years later?
