Hideous! |
Today, Linda opened all the boxes with Christmas presents that arrived in the mail. She made piles for each of us. So many of the shipments have not arrived yet, so the piles are really small. A few things are going back before she even gives them to people. A necklace that she ordered for Tierney was beautiful in the picture online, but in real life it was scary ugly. It looked like an expensive JCrew piece of jewelry but was really something that you would not pay $2.50 for at a thrift store. How could that be? It was like a bait-n-switch or something. Sarah's maternity skirt was also wrong. In the photo, it was a smart looking pencil skirt with a nice stretchy band. In real life, it was a giant piece of stretch fabric with a seam in the back. Even at nine months pregnant it would fall off and land at Sarah's ankles! A maternity trench coat that was adorable must have been out of stock. Instead, a brown maternity sweatshirt jacket was in the package. How is that even legal? Shopping online was supposed to be easy, but it's turning into kind of a nightmare. What if the other presents don't arrive in time? Yikes. Maybe she better go to the store and get some back-up presents just in case!
