Number 12

We were cleaning this afternoon (after all, it's Friday and as everyone knows... Friday is cleaning day,) when the doorbell rang. The other day, two salesmen rang and rang the bell and made us mad. At first, Linda was upset when it rang twice, but then she went to the door. It was the cutest boy, about 10 years old. He had a paper in his had and was obviously selling something. Linda almost said "No, Thanks" and shut the door before he said anything, but then she recognized the paper he had. It was the Bat-a-Thon fund raiser. That is when the little kids hit a lot of balls to raise money for Little League. It almost bought tears to Linda's eyes because she remembered when Taylor was that age and did the Bat-a-Thon. He was a tremendous baseball player, probably the best in the league at that time. The day of the Bat-a-Thon, he did not hit as well as he wanted and was very sad. It was so hard for Linda see him so disappointed. She immediately gave the little boy $10 donation and told him to have a blast and not worry about how many balls he hit.
