Donate Today (or tomorrow, or the next day...)

What a rainy chilly day, a perfect day to stay cuddled in bed. But Linda and her friends braved the rain and went down into DC to run the 5K Race for Hope. They ran in celebration of Linda's friend Carol Welsh. She is a nine-year survivor of an adult ependymoma (a rare brain tumor). You can still donate to help find a cure for brain tumors by googling her name and going to her website. There is a link to the brain tumor society. Her team is called Friends of Carol Welsh. Linda decided to leave me home. Even with the rain, she said it seemed twice as crowed as last year and I would have hated it. Besides, they ran the whole way and I would have been seasick being carried in the pouch. There was a guy with a team who was named David Cook. Linda thought it was a Redskin or sports star. His team raised almost $100,000. dollars. When she saw him, she wondered how a football player could be so little. Someone told her he was an American Idol. We don't watch that show. He ran in memory of his brother who died. Linda cried when she saw one of the survivors cross the finish line in 4th place! Ahead of the Marine runners! Yeah!!
