How come all I want to do is sleep and all Chimmie wants to do is run 100 miles an hour 24/7? I don't even want to wake up in the morning and as soon as I eat breakfast, it's back down for a nap. Every time Linda is reading or watching a show, I sleep next to her. She was gone 6 hours this evening and of course I slept the whole time. Now that she is home, I'm drowsy and am settling in for another nap. Chimmie, on the other paw, just goes, goes, goes. When Linda let him out of his den, he tore around the house and yard like a dog possessed. Now, every toy he owns is getting piled next to Linda or on her keyboard. He hardly ever sleeps when she is home, it's always play time. He does love being up on her big bed though. If Linda wants to lay down for 20 minutes during the day, Chim will sleep curled up by her knees. It's the only time he'll rest and be calm. Maybe we need to hire a dog walker for when Linda is gone more than 4 hours at a stretch. There might be a local teenager that would like the extra money and it will burn of all this excess energy.
