Hippity Hoppity

Everyone tries so hard to be politically correct. (Well, not me.. I really don't care if I offend anyone.) One of our local elementary schools was not allowed to hang red and green streamers in the classroom for Christmas. Of course they could not sing any songs that had the word Christmas in it either. Now, there is another story in the news about Easter from a Seattle newspaper. One 16-year old girl wanted to do something special for the 3rd grade class in her home town. She took plastic eggs and filled them with candy and stickers. The teacher said she could make them, but had to call them spring spheres and not Easter eggs. When the teacher passed them out, she said "Here you go kids, spring spheres just for you! Every single kid in the class yelled out "Yeah! Easter eggs!!" The teacher was not one bit happy.
UPDATE: We just found out this story was a scam. It sounds like it could/should/would have been real though.
