Spit that berry out!

Don't drink and fly! Some Cedar Waxwing birds got a little more than they bargained for this past week. Because of the recent freezes, the Memphis, Tenn. birds got drunk from eating some holly berries. The cold caused the berry's to rupture, allowing the yeast to convert the sugars into alcohol. Concerned citizens called the Health Department to report the birds acting in a strange manner. Some of the birds were crashing into things and wobbling as they flew. I've never even tried a sip of alcohol. I have enough problems not hitting my head on things or falling off the couch.
