Eggstra Special Post

You can learn all sorts of interesting things by reading my blog. I have a lot of readers interested in the weird news stories; some like the funny stories; and some just read it to find out what is happening in my life. For instance, you might have been following the ongoing saga of our broken car. Today we got the Subaru back from the dealer after being in the shop for almost a month! Subaru paid for $1300 of the repairs and Linda had to pay $500. Or some want an update on the broken camera story. Well, Linda is learning to use the Nikon Jerry bought her last year. (The learning curve was just too complicated, but she is taking lots of photos of me to practice. ) Hear is an interesting new fact you might not know, but large or jumbo eggs actually cause pain to the hens who lay them. Tom Vesery, who is the chairman of some egg association somewhere said that if you want to be kind to hens, eat small or medium eggs. It is also very stressful on the hens to have to pass the large eggs. Breeding the hens to lay large eggs causes osteoporosis, bone breakage and prolapse. Better yet, become a vegan like Linda and you won't have to worry about chickens in small cages or suffering from laying jumbo eggs.
