Guard Dog

He used to be so little and calm.
Linda just reread the articles about the McRib.  Sorry if my blog ruined the experience for you of eating one (or 20.)  The thing is, Linda eats bad food all the time, so it's kind of hypocritical.  Last night for dinner she made jalapeno poppers.  These are stuffed with spicy cream cheese, breaded and fried.  If it was possible, Linda would put hot/spicy seasoning in everything she made.  There is a Thai dish at one of her favorite restaurants that is so hot her eyes water, but she loves it anyway.  She had to stop going there alone because it's in a seedy part of town.  On one side is a "cash your check, pawn your ring, buy a throwaway phone" store and a laundry mat is on the other.  (It's been so long since she's gone, they are all probably closed by now anyway.)  It's the same parking lot where she walked past the guys saying "I'm gonna CAP you, ****"  They were not talking about giving the kid a new baseball hat either.  Usually, Linda never gets frightened hiking the trails alone, taking us out at midnight for our last walk or being alone in the house.  She is being a little more cautious because just 3 miles from our house there was an armed break-in with shots fired.  No one got hurt, just some jewelry was stolen.  We are SO glad that Chimmie finally developed a big-boy bark.  If you were on the other side of the door trying to break in, it would scare the pants off you.  It is a deep, loud, and  mean sounding bark.  Of course once they got in the house, he would bring them a toy to play.
