It's a True Story

Julia Roberts is so pretty.  She is an actress that Linda enjoys watching in movies. She liked Eat, Love & Pray and Ocean's 11.  Another one of her roles was playing Erin Brockovich.  It was based on a true story of a mom who exposed a company in California who was contaminating water back in the 90's.  Now, she (Erin, not Julia)  is back to exposing more companies and the lives they ruined.  Linda was shocked to read that the lake she grew up on, and swam every day in the summer, in is on the danger list!  DuPont manufactured explosives at a work site just a few minute walk from her house.  There were lots and lots of lakes in her town.  In fact, it used to be a resort area for people in New York City back in the olden days.  Since the 20's, Dupont has been dumping toxins into the very lake she swam in. Earlier this year in May, 350 residents of the town started suing Dupont for groundwater pollution seeping into their homes and yards.  They also want the company to provide medical monitoring of illness that residents are suffering from contamination.  Now Linda lives a long way away from the town she grew up in, but she has lots of aunts, uncles and cousins still in the town.
