Paper or Plastic?

This bill would last 10 seconds in Chimmie's jaws
(First off, plastic is a very weird word.  I don't know if I've ever typed it before.  Plastic... it even sounds weird on your tongue.  Kind of like the word bureau which means dresser.  It makes Linda's feel twitchy when she hears some say bureau.) Back to the story... Canada is switching all their paper money into plastic money.  This is such a wonderful idea.   First off, how many times has Linda washed her jeans only to find a wad of wet bills plastered between the sopping clothes.  Also, the paper money rips and is full of germs.  With the new plastic money, you can get a Clorox wipe and just clean it off!  No trees will be killed in the making of the dollars, so it's greener.  Plus, the bills can be recycled.  The downside is you can't fold it up and stick it in your back pocket, but overall... it's pretty cool. So far they have only made $100 bills, but the rest will be following in the next two years.  Will America be far behind?  Or will we abandoned paper/coin money all together and just go totally debit cards?
