It was a scorcher this afternoon at the Church BBQ, so pets stayed home. Tier, Linda, Taylor and Sarah were just dripping sweat sitting still talking. Taylor left the group to go play soccer. Then Sarah went to watch her friend fishing. Tier and Linda walked over to the giant blow-up water slide. One of the big guys was launching the kids down the slip and slide. It was so cute to watch them hit the water screaming. After a few hours, Linda came home to study her routines (can you say brain overload) because she needs to know them all by next week. Even though we had a short walk early this morning when it wasn't too hot, Chim and I were pestering and annoying her because we wanted another walk. She took us out on a trail walk. It was cooler in the woods, but we were the only walkers out there since it was still 90 degrees. (Except for the mosquitoes. Linda's legs are bitten to bits.) Tier is going to be hoping mad but she is not taking either one of us to Emily's party. One, it's still so hot. Two, it looks like rain. Three, fireworks might go off and give me a seizure and cause Chim to panic. Four, Linda is the boss of us and she said "no."
