Saint Bee?

OK, now Linda is feeling really bad about the bee slaughter.  For months and months, she hasn't read one article about bees.  Then in the space of a few days, there has been two articles about saving bees.  This story makes Linda feel just horrible about what she did.  Even though she didn't do the actual killing, she was the mastermind behind the plot.  In Albuquerque, a man needed to get a giant cotton wood tree cut down on his property.  The tree was decaying and he was afraid it would smash his roof.   He called a local tree cutting company to do the job.  When they started, they found a colony of bees living in the trunk.  Instead of bombing them with RAID! for $10 he paid an extra $500 for a  crane so the tree men could rescue the hive.  Right now, the bees are living on the cut up wood in his yard.  It's too late for our roof bees now and Linda has to live with her actions.  (Why does this book tell little kids that bees go to heaven?  And what's up with the whole Saint Bee picture?  It makes Linda want to go to the library and check this book out to see what kind of story it is.)
