Linda is home for 45 minute break. Class one of five is done. It's so hot out that we can't walk, even though she feels great and nothing is hurting. Chim is outside for a little while because when she leaves, its back in his den for another few hours. It's only supposed to get hotter as the week goes on, in the high 90's and low 100's! I remember last summer, we went weeks without a daytime walk. Linda waited until 10 p.m. before she took us so I wouldn't have a seizure from the heat. It was even over 80 degrees when we woke up this morning. I'm so thankful we have air conditioning! Every outside dog should have one of these AC's installed. If we still had Snickers, Linda would so buy this for him. No matter what the temperature, freezing or burning... it was a fight every day and night to get Snickers inside where it was comfortable. It wasn't until he was very, very old that he liked sleeping on his inside bed. The only time he would come in is if Linda was home or not going to bed for the night. He loved to lay on his beds at her feet when she was on the couch. If she was leaving, he would beg to go back outside! She tried having him sleep in her bedroom on the floor, but he wandered around her room at night and kept her up. We both miss him everyday, he was by far... no contest... the very best dog in the whole world.
