Firefly Addict

In a way, I'm glad Linda was gone so much today and this evening. She felt so guilty for leaving us so long that the second she got home, we went on an adventure! It was still light out when we started, but by the time we walked in the front door (9:45) it was pitch black! We did get a wee-bit lost in a new neighborhood, but it was all very exciting with so many new smells and sights. Here are the highlights: 1. The Big Road took forever to cross. There are 4 1/2 lanes of traffic to cross, all going about 5o miles per hour. Linda waited until she was sure it was 100% safe before we crossed. 2. At the start, there were so many people out and walking or playing in their yards. Chim greeted every single one of them like they were his favorite person in the world. 3. We made a few wrong turns and could not seem to find our way out to The Big Road, but eventually we did. 4. I walked at least an hour before I had to be carried! Such amazing cardio endurance. 5. Chim ate every single lightning bug we passed. He jumps 3 feet straight up in the air, flips around and snaps his mouth shut on the poor bug. I hope they are not poisonous because he'll be a dead dog before morning. I guess it's pretty common because you can get the dog-shirt!
