NO!! This should not have happened. Why didn't the lady put her miniature dachshund up for adoption instead of having it euthanized. Granted, he shouldn't have gnawed off her toe while she slept, but come on! If you know your diabetic and don't have any feeling in your feet, it is your job to be more diligent about your surroundings. The vet said that the dog might have been attracted to the toe because it was bandaged from a previous injury. Absolutely no reason to put the dog down. I haven't been this upset since the post about the mayor of Little Rock releasing all the rescue dogs from the pound into the forest because the town could not take care of them anymore. The mean women and the mayor should get married, they deserve each other.
