OK, I'll concede that this Mama Cat is the hero of the day. She lives in a shelter in Phoenix and just had a litter of new kittens. The same day, a Chihuahua died while giving birth. The one hour old puppy would surely die if it did not get nourishment soon. The shelter workers put the puppy in with the Mama Cats litter and baby Chi just started nursing away. The other kittens did not seem to mind one bit since they all are the same size. The Mom is taking care of the Chihuahua just like it was her own. I wonder if the pup will take on cat characteristics when it grows up? All the animals will be up for adoption once the litter is weaned. I hope the Chi gets adopted along with her new Mommy.
