One Job At a Time

A few days ago I wrote about Linda's big procrastination problem with the major chores in the house. She decided to take it one (or two if they are small) chore at a time.  So far it's been working.  When she got home from class this morning, she decided to devote 25 minutes to cleaning out some kitchen draws that had gotten messy.  This afternoon, she devoted another 30 minutes to scrubbing down all the tile in the bathroom and scouring the tub.  Tomorrow, she is going to wipe down all the baseboards and clean the blinds.  If she can just do one hour a day and maybe 3 or 4 on the weekends, soon our house will be the way she wants it.  The spare rooms will take extra time and she might ask for help in packing and moving boxes.  Looking at the whole project was overwhelming but breaking it down into manageable jobs is much easier. The regular daily and weekly chores will still get done too. The major one being the floors. She loves her new hardwood, but they need to be Swiffered every day.

Linda loves wearing her fuzzy socks and sliding all the way down the hallway
Even though today is Taylor's birthday, 12-12-12.. they are all going to dinner tomorrow to celebrate.  Linda will get the waiter to take a family photo.  I don't think she even has one all together since Penny was born.

She won't be spending the day with Penny tomorrow, it's so sad for her.  There is a mandatory work meeting she has to attend from 11-1:30.  Drats!
"What do you mean you can't come Nana??"
