"Did I win?" |
At the monthly church small group meeting last night, everyone broke into teams and did some really crazy "Minute to Win It" type games. They threw marshmallows, pelted indoor snowballs, tossed Christmas cards and ate Oreos off their foreheads without using their hands. Linda was put on a great team and they came in second (with absolutely no points or help from her.) The game she did required kneeling and sliding around on a hardwood floor, not something her knees like. If they would have had a TKD board punching game or teaching your dog new tricks contest, she would have gotten some points. It was really fun and everyone had a great time. She is so happy she was placed with that group of people.
Our walk didn't happen until 11 p.m., but the weather was still warmish- around 52 degrees. There are two yards that have the robotic reindeer that are covered with white twinkle lights. The bigger one bobs his head up and down pretending to eat grass. It flips Chimi out when we walk past. I don't like it that much either, but I figured out it's not moving.
Prance, Dancer, Rudolph, and ? (she can't remember anymore reindeer names) |
There is one house that really puzzles Linda. First, it's absolutely covered in lights. The roof, siding, windows, driveway, trees... the entire house is so bright it almost hurts your eyes to look at it. (I know you are probably happy about that but she has never been into decorations either inside or outside the house at Christmas. She loves Christmas and all it represents, but for some reason has no interest in decorating her house.) At least the lights don't make noise, right? Wrong... there is a huge speaker system hooked up to the lights and LOUD music is piped out into the yard surrounding 40 houses. Tonight she'll take a video of it and post it for your enjoyment. If Linda lived right next door and they refused to turn it off overnight, she would move in with Tier until after Christmas.
