Thank You Ruth

There are times when Linda teaches that she feels like her legs are full of cement.  She can barely do a knee strike, yet alone the 300 kicks or knees that are in ONE Body Combat track.  Since she took some time off to get some rest last week, she was really nervousness about tonight.  Tuesday is one of her harder days.  It's only 4 classes, but the combination of the types of classes are what is hard.  The morning Sculpt class needed to be challenged, so they went into the basketball court and did a full-court press combination of walking lunges, sprints and side stepping squats (with weights.)  For upper body, they did planks and push-ups off the Bosu ball... along with all the regular biceps, triceps, shoulders, abs.
Why is this tooth doing walking lunges?

Linda got home and crashed for an hour.  She was feeling pretty good after her nap, and her nerve pain was a 5 out of 10.. definitely manageable without drugs.  The afternoon TKD wasn't too bad and then she had to go right into Body Combat.  About 45 seconds after the music started she was thinking "Maybe I can pretend sprain my ankle, I don't think I can do this tonight."  Then she looked up and saw a women in class named Ruth.  She had an amazing smile on her face and was just glowing.  That was all Linda needed.  She dug down deep and found a reserve of energy to not only finish class, but she had spunk, speed, power and strength!  Ruth will never see this, but Linda says thank you... it carried her through to the next class too.  Tomorrow Linda has 4 classes to teach so she is going to go to bed in just a few minutes to get plenty of rest.

Jerry drew this picture of a zombie who is afraid of me. I think it's a pretty good likeness, don't you?

Jerry came and walked us for 45 minutes this evening.  The weather was just perfect.  I surprised Jerry by sprinting the last few houses home.

The Handy Man Dynamic-Duo came over yesterday to hang Linda's mirror.  Thank you guys!  She is so happy with the way it looks (and how perfectly straight it is!)
