The other morning Linda was having coffee before her first class at the bagel cafe. She was sipping her coffee and reading. A women came in with 2 kids (age 5 and 7 ish?) who were fighting and screaming at each other. The mom totally was zoned out and ignored them. The boy kicked the girl into a table and knocked the salt and pepper shakers on to the floor. It took all her self-control for her not to get up and straighten those brats out, especially when she saw they had on TKD pants and tee shirts from a Martial Arts summer camp! (In Linda's TKD school, it's all about "Never misusing TKD" and "Having courtesy and respect" for others.) A 61-year old man shopping in Walmart did not use his self control. He went off on a mom whose kid would not stop crying and carrying on. He told the Mom, "You better shut the kid up, or I will." When the kid kept crying, he slapped it across the face 4 or 5 times. Mom called the cops and the man went off to jail for hitting the kids.
