Big Grey and Little Grey
Something I never really gave much thought to were all the outside cats that run free. There is a giant gray tom cat, way bigger then Chip, who is hanging outside our house next to the family room window. It is making Chip act very strange and they are making goo-goo eyes at each other. If Big Grey sneaks inside our house, I'm pretty much going to be it's dinner. That got me thinking about what kind of havoc the born-free cats must do. There is a web site you should check out:
www.greysquirrel.net. It is a sad, but true blog of a wonderful gray squirrel named B.B.McCool that lived in this guys garden, raised a family of squirrel pups and pretty much had a wonderful life. One day, a free-range cat attacked him. Little McCool managed to drag itself back to its home in the garden, but eventually died of his injuries even after much TLC from his human. The man was so upset that he started a move to keep cats from destroying wildlife in area neighborhoods. You can even get McCool the Squirrel tee shirts.
